How each journal works

Every journal follows the same calm shape: four short prompts, each with an everyday example; a working page you fill in; seven entries to complete at your own pace; a reflection page; and closing notes on making the journal your own. Fill the white boxes in a PDF reader, or print at actual size and write by hand.

These journals are keepsakes, not assessments. Start them at any stage of life; they work best while the ordinary details are still everyday ones.

What it isn't

Creative keepsake material, not veterinary advice and not a scientific assessment. No claim is made about the effect of journaling on animal health, behavior or your wellbeing. Use existing photos or observe naturally; never disturb, restrain or stage a moment to fill a page.
